great staff but lack of breakfast options

The staff we met were always cheerful and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable which made our two-night stay pleasant.

The breakfast was only available on weekends which was a disappointment.

Solo traveler looking for comfort

The room i stayed in was spacious and super clean, with a lovely view that made waking up more bearable. and i gotta say, the shower? absolutely divine! I struggled to get outta that bed, which is rare for someone like me with a bad back. the 11am checkout was a real lifesaver.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for the quality and service, it was worth it.

Consider using the fire escape for late-night bathroom trips, as the main entrance is alarmed. It may be a bit tricky if you're unsteady.

I had an incredible stay with the most comfortable bed imaginable and a delightful surprise of porridge pots in the room! The food was fantastic, especially breakfast.

Had a lovely night here. The room was super clean with a nice shower and all the essentials. The guy at the bar was a legend! Great views from the room and the beer garden was perfect to relax in.

I appreciated the hotel's great location, as Yarrow Valley Park is only a few minutes away, perfect for a leisurely stroll, and I loved being close to the charming Astley Hall which adds a delightful touch to the weekend exploring. my room was spotless, well-decorated, and provided a cozy atmosphere for resting after my adventures.

A single room with an incredible view and an immaculate bathroom made for a pleasant stay, complemented by friendly and accommodating staff. The food was prompt, well-prepared, and exceptionally good value, providing a delightful dining experience. the noise from the nearby road could be a concern, suggesting a preference for rooms at the back for a quieter environment.

The garden area was delightful, surrounded by scenic views that brought such serenity. The interior decor felt warm and inviting, perfect for a calming stay.

The stunning views from my room overlooking the fields were such a treat, offering a peaceful escape after a long day. I was thrilled with the spacious Double Room, which felt like a cozy retreat with a modern twist. The meal in the pub was a delightful surprise. I was blown away by the quality and flavor of every dish!

Absolutely loved the pan-fried sea bass in asparagus cream – proper posh nosh! The staff were spot-on helpful, especially with my blind dog. Clean room and ample space for my furry mate's stuff made all the difference.

Now, the pub below can be a bit noisy, especially on weekends. If all you want to do is catch some z's, it might be a bit dodgy till closing. the slow replies from the host were noticeable, but I got by just fine.
